FAIRYTALE BALL FATHER/DAUGHTER DANCE

WHEN: 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday

WHERE: Skateland Recreation Center in Channahon

COST & INFO: Cost is $40 for resident and $45 for nonresident with a fee of $15 for an additional child for the Channahon Park District event. The event includes dinner, dancing and a special keepsake for each girl. There will be a photographer available with picture packages to purchase for an additional cost. Come in your finest attire as there will be contests and raffles to take part in. All participants must pre-register.

FACT OR PHONY?

WHEN: 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday

WHERE: Three Rivers Public Library in Channahon

COST & INFO: Teens from fifth to 12th grade are invited to be part of this new program and find out how much YOU know! This month, the library will look at urban myths.

FAMILY FEST

WHEN: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday

WHERE: Minooka Junior High

COST & INFO: Admission is free and there will be entertainment, food, games, raffles and education. Families will be able to find information on youth organizations, businesses featuring services and products for families, local sports organizations,etc. Kids will also be able to participate in hands on activities.

MAGIC SHOW

WHEN: 1 to 2 Saturday

WHERE: Three Rivers Public Library in Minooka

COST & INFO: Magician and illusionist Rob Thompson brings his magic show to the library. Mixing comedy with mystery, mind reading and audience participation. Open to all ages. Registration for each person required. (Kids 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult)

ANTI-VALENTINE'S DAY PARTY

WHEN: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday

WHERE: Three Rivers Public Library in Channahon

COST & INFO: Tuesday is Valentine's Day, but you don't have a sweetheart? No worries, this is the event for you! Grab you pals and head to the library for food, fun, and games - while we boycott St. Valentine and all that mushy stuff! For seventh through 12th graders.
